Hello AGDT Teens!
Welcome to the second semester of "AGDT Interns!" This new program was started this summer and it has been a huge help to me - so it is back!
Most of you have been involved with AGDT for awhile, so you can see how the group has grown! When I first started teaching, I had 11 students. Now, after 17 semesters of AGDT, 113 girls have been involved! I am not returning to full-time work and am hoping to be able to expand the AGDT class schedule greatly over the next year or two. I have had some requests for the older girls to be able to get more experience in the “technical/directing” aspect of AGDT, so I have instituted the AGDT Intern Position.
Intern Duties may include (but are not limited to):
Acting as Assistant Director at all times during the production
Organizing Student Forms (t-shirts, DVD, etc) and Scripts
Helping to assign costumes/shoes/accessories/props
Working with actresses - giving examples of directed blocking, how to say lines, etc.
Being “Team Leader” for your group on Performance Day
Arriving early/staying late on Performance Day to help with setup/strike
Holding Baby Lincoln J

$10 Discount on AGDT Teen Tuition (if you are not enrolled in a class this semester, the credit can be saved for a later date)
I will also be happy to write letters of recommendation when you start applying to college, jobs, etc.
To apply for an AGDT Intern position:
You must be at least 14 years old
You must have participated in at least 3 AGDT Productions
You should be available for the Costume Day (October 3)
You must be available for the Performance Day (August 13)
You must not have more than 2 rehearsal conflicts (which must be stated on application)
There are five kid’s productions this semester:

Important Dates:
Classes will begin on August 30 / September 1 and run weekly through October 25 / 27.
The Performance Day for the Tuesday classes will be Saturday, October 29.
The Performance Day for the Thursday classes will be Friday, October 28.
There will be an AGDT Intern meeting on Tuesday, August 23 from 2:00-3:00pm.
There will be a Costume Day on Saturday, October 1 from 10:00am-3:00pm.
One AGDT Intern will be assigned to each kid’s production. Since I have no way to gauge how many of you may be interested in this program, for now I am asking anyone interested to fill out an AGDT Intern Application. Applications are due by Saturday, August 20. Selected Interns will be notified no later than August 22.
