ONE SPACE REMAINING (8/29 3:30pm) Thursday B (2:30-4:00pm) - Hairum Scarum - Published by American Girl, this is a comedy about a couple of hairstylists who run an interesting hair salon.  Just when they are afraid their business is dying, they’re surprised by visits from fairy-tale characters who need anything from a new identity, to a MAJOR haircut, or a fancy hairdo to impress a prince.  Character opportunities include – Olivia, Hilda, Goldilocks, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Alice, Gretel, and Red Riding Hood.  There are 9 spaces in this class (plus a few “cameo” roles that are usually assigned to little sisters ages 5-7!).

The classes will begin on August 30 (Tuesday classes) / September 1 (Thursday classes) and run weekly through October 25 (Tuesday classes) / October 27 (Thursday classes)NOTE: There will be NO CLASSES on September 6 or 8.

I would prefer for any student to only miss a maximum of 2 practices.  While it’s not a requirement, it would be best for everyone involved if the full class can attend the first practice on August 30 / September 1.  This will be the day we pick parts for the play.

The plays will be performed at Faith Baptist Church, and the final rehearsals (October 25/27) will be at the church as well.

The performance of all classes will be on Saturday, October 29, at 7:30pm.

The girls will need to arrive at the church at 2:00 pm for a final dress rehearsal on the day of their play.  We will have dinner and have time to do everyone's hair and makeup before it's showtime!

NEW:  There will be a Costume Day on Saturday, October 1 from 10:00am-3:00pm.  If at all possible, each student will need to have a quick costume appointment during this timeframe.  This meeting will be at another location in Lees Summit (my parent's house), where my costume collection is housed.  This will make things MUCH easier on my end!

Classes will be held at my house in Lees Summit.  I will send directions to the enrolled students' families before the classes begin.

Pricing is as follows: $80 for one daughter, $75 each for two daughters, $70 each for three or more daughters.  The class cost covers: 17 hours of rehearsal time, one-on-one acting coaching, script, free admission for family and friends to the performance, most costume and prop expenses (with the exception of any personal items such as tights), and performance day dinner/snacks.
